Recent PRs Standing personal bests, newest first
Schedule
When your groups train. Sessions here drive Home's schedule strip, and clicking one shows who has checked in.
Log Session
Pick your name, enter your best result for each test you did today, and submit — your coach reviews it in Athlete Submissions before it counts.
Athletes
Export downloads a spreadsheet of every athlete, logged number, and check-in. Import merges a previously exported CSV back in — handy for moving between your phone and computer, or as a backup.
Add Athlete
Add an athlete to a program. Sex is required so rankings stay fair; age is optional and we never collect birthdays.
They'll still get personal bests and progress graphs — just no Overall score (or Overall Change), and their results won't count toward anyone else's ranking either.
Age is optional. We don't collect birthdays or other personal details on minors.
Facility Overview
Combined totals and program health across the whole facility. Pick a timeframe — everything below updates together.
Check-In
Log attendance for today's session. Pick a program and athlete, then check them in.
Logs a training session for today's date.
Log Personal Best
Record a new personal best. Pick the program, athlete, and metric, then log the value.
Trials
Run a whole group at once. Pick the metrics you're testing, add your athletes as rows, and type numbers straight into the grid — Tab/arrows move between cells, a cell turns green when it beats that athlete's best. Hit Save All when you're done.
Every filled cell is saved as a dated trial result. Re-saving updates the same session rather than duplicating.
Build Your Metrics
Create the categories and metrics your gym tracks. Whatever you build here becomes the dropdowns everywhere else — Trials, Logs, AJ Rankings, and the Dashboard. Head to AJ Rankings to choose which metrics count toward Overall.
Categories are folders for your metrics — add one, then expand it to add and manage what's inside. Drag the ⠿ handle on any row to reorder, or use its ⋯ menu for rename, duplicate, and delete.
Facility Settings
Your organization identity, appearance, programs, and account — everything else in the app adapts to what you define here.
Your display name, appearance, and account. Your gym's identity and programs are set by an admin.
Athlete Journal adapts its terminology, dashboard, and suggested features to match.
Shows in the sidebar, on the Overview, and on the parent share view.
Shows on your Home greeting, in the sidebar, and next to any session you run on the schedule. Only you can change it.
Your gym's own logo. Shows at the top of the Overview and in the sidebar. PNG or JPG; a square image looks best. Stored only on this device (auto-resized to keep it small).
Signed in as —. Your journal syncs to the cloud — sign in with the same email on any device to see the same data.
Everyone and everything with access to this facility. Coaches sign in with their own separate email and password. Kiosks are paired devices — a shared gym iPad, never a coach login.
Tell us what's working and what isn't. Bugs, confusing screens, anything missing — it goes straight to the people building this, and nobody at your gym can read it.
Permanently erase all athletes, entries, and check-ins on this account — useful for clearing out demo/sample data before going live. Programs, branding, and rankings settings are untouched.
Pick an accent color — used for buttons, active states, links, and highlights throughout the app.
Automatic picks white or black for best contrast. Override it if you prefer a specific look.
Programs are the groups you sort athletes into. Give each a short description so it's clear what it's for. Edit or delete any program below.
